Don’t Just Start…Continue.
There’s no doubt that all great impacts start with small steps.
All world-changers started somewhere.
All successful businesses began with a single idea.
All self-made entrepreneurs took daily action to get to where they are today.
The first step in making these great impacts is famously known as “just start.” While that’s a critical step, it’s not enough to just get started.
The step that really matters, the one that separates those that dream of success and impact and those that actually achieve it is called “continue.”
This is one of the hardest steps in the journey of growing a business. This is the step where you get down and dirty, you get into the nitty gritty of it, you plan, strategize, fail, reflect, tweak, and repeat.
It’s intense, but it’s so damn good, because the step of “continue” breeds one of the most important characteristics of any business… consistency.
Consistency is everything in this industry.
As soon as you start, the only way to make your mark is to stay consistent and keep it up.
That doesn’t mean you have to go balls to the walls every single day, pulling all-nighters and living off of endless amounts of double-shot lattes.
You’ll find out rather quickly how unsustainable that lifestyle is. Trust me, I’ve been there and done that and 10/10 don’t recommend it.
But it does mean you have to show up in some way every single day for your business.
Sometimes that looks like putting in the work during the growing season.
Sometimes that looks like working extra before a big launch or client project.
Other times that looks like taking an intentional break from your business to recharge.
Don't get me wrong, we all need those well-deserved breaks, but you must be intentional about them and plan them into your schedule just like any other project.
When you become serious about starting or scaling your business, you have to be prepared to start and continue.
There’s ebbs and flows in every business. Learning to keep going, to show up no matter what, and to continue through the peaks and valleys is where the real success and impact is born.
