The Most Expansive Moments of Growth Happen Along the Way

This blog post is a message for all of my fellow badass, smart female entrepreneurs who are changing the world. 

I know it’s tempting to go-go-go and constantly feel like you should be doing more as you focus on your one end goal. I know it’s easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others and working yourself into a state of burnout to achieve what you set out to do. I blame social media and hustle culture for this. 

The reality is, the most pivotal, expansive moments of growth happen along the way. 

As you rise to the top and work towards your goals and dreams, don’t forget to stop and smell the roses. Don’t forget to enjoy the journey and embrace the growth and expansion along the way. Because the truth is, the end goal is just a bonus. 

The journey and the person you become along the way is what really counts. 

Take time to slow down, take in the scenery, and have a little fun as you expand into who you are becoming. Life shouldn’t be all work and no play. In fact, you more than likely became an entrepreneur so you could live a life of more freedom and fulfillment, right? 

⁠5 years ago, I set out to build a business that is long-lasting and impactful, which doesn’t happen overnight. The process is one in which the days can feel long, the weeks can feel short, and the years even shorter. 

No matter what tough stuff you’re working through in your business, I promise you, it will go fast. 

So please, always remember to stop and smell the roses. 

Not just during the big wins and moments of victory, but in the moments when you're pushed outside of your comfort zone and are challenged, too. Then you can come out on the other side and can say, "I fucking did that."⁠ 

⁠At the end of the day, shut your laptop, step away, and make sure to celebrate everything you have accomplished. Nothing great was built overnight, and tomorrow, your to-do list will still be there.
